Good morning!
I was hoping to have all the monsters done by now, but a few bosses and a few more regular enemies turned out to be a bit more complex than anticipated and that slowed me down. Still, I made some progress on that front.
Here's a look at one of them!
A Slime gone bad! Accurslimes have only got two moves: a Block and their signature Accursed Strike. What's Accursed Strike, you ask? It's a special attack that, instead of dealing damage, reduces Max HP by 25% (or 50% if you don't block it!) and inflicts a 25% Attack debuff. This can reduce Max HP to 0, so you're going to need to take it down quick.
If it's on its own, this thing's relatively easy by this point- despite its stats being heavily skewed toward Defense, it's slightly weak to Ice and has no Wind resistance at all, so you can keep it locked down. But in combination with other monsters in the area, many of whom will have damage-over-time effects like Poison and Frost Burn, these guys will be a menace.

Went back to the Hidden Library to look for https://tvtropes.org/Main/UtilityMagic examples instead of just finding the easiest one in Arkenvali. Hmm, seem like there's none in the Hidden Library. Ah well.
Cool developer's foresight spoilers hidden for future readers!
Cool that Gasty responds to the Fire cookbooks! Might want Brill to mention Rossolon in the "fire-breathing dragons" section like she notes how she met Cloudborn in the Wind section.
Ooh, this is a nasty Coronet Counter! Ha! Makes the curse worse! Very (Ac)cursed!
Complex monsters! Fun! Good luck! Enjoy the holidays!
