Screenshot Saturday: 0.3.6 Preview #31!
Good morning!
It's been another busy week, but I've been chipping away at some important parts of 0.3.6's last dungeon.
Important parts like... gear! In this screenshot, we'll take a look at one of the new equipment items available.
I've cleared off Brill's other gear to show off the Blackened Banner! It's... almost serviceable as a shield, but it's more unwieldy than even the Tower Shield and its upgrades, while being even worse at blocking than shields you can craft as early as Levitt's Landing. Instead, the Blackened Banner serves as a support option, giving both Brill and any temp ally an Attack buff.
This could be a powerful option with other items that improve Block! And hey, sometimes it's good to have a weaker shield- the Blackened Banner doesn't conduct Thunder too much.

Woo! More progress!
Wow! That's an unconventional shield! ... So Brill has reclaimed this banner for herself or something, motivating herself and her allies to get stronger.
Or it's some kinda magical banner, like a battle standard?
It's mainly cloth, so the only conductive part would be the rod that it's displayed on, anyway! Which is probably where Brill's holding it from...
It looks like it might be a good all-around shield to maybe work my whole loadout around so maybe don't have to optimize for fight by fight!

Speaking of Shields, I forget why the Gastronomicon is a Shield, since it's alive and stuff, he could be a party member too? Maybe he's just lazy?
