Screenshot Saturday: 0.3.6 Preview #21!

Good morning!

I've been making a lot of progress on 0.3.6-in particular, the first dungeon of the update just needs a bit more detail work and eventing to be ready to go.

Here's what's probably going to be one more look (before the update anyway) at this nearly-finished dungeon!

If you want to be a wizard number one, you need to trip the player up on a speedrun!

Referential humor aside, this room has a few unique challenges. If you can clear them without a single incorrect guess, you'll be able to pass through without any battles! (Conversely, if you do nothing BUT guess incorrectly, you can get in 18 fights in this room.)

Also, here's another screenshot of a new item that I took earlier this week!

Being constantly burned is a flight risk made even more dangerous by the Fire Amp you get, but 100% Fire Amp is a pretty big number...

That rechargable fire weapon sounds real useful right now. mmm. What's "Fire dmg"? Is that just Fire Amp?

----

This RPG is so much unlike other RPG just with how EXP isn't a thing. So it'd be smarter to avoid all the battles unless they drop some good loot or are easy or something.

"Fire dmg" is how much Fire damage you take- effectively, the inverse of your resistance. (I'll probably redo that text so it's more clear.)

This stat is there mainly to keep the downside from being completely negated by being Fire-resistant or even Fire-immune.

Ah, so I'd need to keep my Fire Res <= 50%. Hmm. Mythril Targe, Cursed Coronet, Sage Cloak, Fire Amulet, Evil Eye Jewel, Fire Affinity... Maybe swap the Amulet for the Lantern, and the Gastro for the Targe...

That's 300% Fire Amp exactly, along with ~26 Attack without Curse... And the weakest Multi Target Fire damage is 12 from Condensed Fire Formulae...

When would I ever want to use Lava Bombs? Mythril's expensive?

Then there's the Stone's Throws + Nature's Boon, then there's defeating Enemy 135... At least 45 Attack without Curse. But really, if I can defeat Enemy 135, haven't I proved myself?

And you're somehow running a 30 Attack...

Lava Bombs require Mythril Topaz, which are fortunately much less rare than Mythril Lodes. I've found them useful when I need to save up certain Tier 1 ingredients for whatever reason, and of course having two different elements' special effects is always welcome.

Their main drawback is probably that the dual element is something of a double edged sword- it can give them more chances to hit weaknesses (including Banes if you get the chance to throw a few of those down), but they can also get blocked by two different resistances and one immunity knocks their damage to zero.
