Screenshot Saturday: 0.3.6 Preview #20!

Good afternoon!

I've been largely working on more eventing and detail work- in particular, I cleared a few hurdles that were giving me an inordinate amount of trouble. However, I've also stopped a few bugs before they could crawl into production! And as it happens, one of these bugs is related to a literal bug, and this debugged bug will be great for Screenshot Saturday.

I've shown Aqua Morphos before and Mace Hornets have appeared in a previous dungeon. Now meet a newly-revealed enemy: Sky Mantids!

Maybe the chivalrous spirit of the sanctum's guardians rubs off a bit on the native Sky Mantids, or maybe they just don't like how some other giant bugs taste, or maybe they know when to pick their battles and really don't want to make a Mace Hornet nest angry- but this powerful predator species has a symbiotic relationship with other large insect species in this dungeon that, by all accounts, they should normally be trying to have for lunch.

When it's not attacking or sharpening its claws, a Sky Mantid can use Ambush Stance to intercept anything that attacks it or its allies- and then strike back with Fell Claws, a ferocious attack that can take down unprepared targets in a single hit! Brill had to down a Phoenix Phormula shortly after this screenshot was taken. Even if you're blocking when you attack, you're still going to eat a big Neutral damage hit that ignores your Blocking, so it's best to either knock them out in one go or wait for them to get out of Ambush Stance.

Hmm. I forget how broad attacks work on interceptors... Could I just Star Burst and therefore hit that interceptor with 2 times damage? One for intercepting and the other targetting itself? Speaking of Keystones, is Brill gonna find the (final? another?) one, and therefore have a stronger attack?

Then there's all the new equipment out there. And I've said nothing about how Vantus can help...

But what really matters to me and my inventory hoarding nature, is how many of these battles are avoidable... But I think I have a lotta Sil to spend and at least a few ingredients at max stack.

Thanks for so many previews~!
