Screenshot Saturday: 0.3.6 Preview #11!

Good morning!

I'd like to take a moment to express my thanks. This past week, Ruphand: An Apothecary's Adventure got its first donation- and I can't stress enough how huge that is! I'm really excited to work on 0.3.6 now, even more than I was before.

That donation was enough of a motivator for me to finish all the rest of the base mapping, and I've also made some headway on the monster data. Here's a screenshot of some more monsters, found in the same place as the Hedge Knights earlier!

Wildhunters patrol the twisting hedges, flanked by their Hounds and Ravens, in search of battle. A Wildhunter has attacks of his own, but before he uses them, he marks a target with Hunter's Chase, causing his pets to deal more base damage. He can also command his whole team to Heel, putting them all in a Blocking state.

Hounds focus on offense with even more raw Attack than their masters, while Ravens run interference. The Trick Attack the Raven is using in this screenshot lowers Block, so Brill had to spend a Phoenix Phormula here! She'll need to attack quickly to get the upper hand- though a certain new friend can make Wildhunters much easier to deal with...

"Wildhunters patrol the twisting hedges, flanked by their Hounds and Ravens, in search of battle."

Nicely threatening!

Huh, that screenshot. No Starforce, and is that a new status beside the Chill? Tried to get Water Spiders to splash Brill, but they just keep trying to bite her uselessly, due to mega-high defense, so I can't check if that's Soften or not.

I showed them off in Battle Test mode (which also helped me catch a bug early!), so Brill doesn't have Starforce unless I specifically give her the state in the battle. The icon is a new state that the Wildhunter applies.

Incidentally, Water Spiders will ignore all the rest of their AI and solely use their bite if Brill has any Water resistance at all- not a great plan when you take later gear into account, but they are a pretty early-game enemy. You should start seeing Water II much more if Brill isn't resistant to Water, especially if you can quickly get rid of the resulting Soften quickly (likely with a fast Block) and keep triggering their "Apply Soften if possible" condition.
