0.3.5 P2 - Bugfix Patch 22
Ruphand: An Apothecary's Adventure » Devlog
Good evening!
I'm nearing the end of the bugfixes. At least, I think I am- for now, at least. This patch fixes a lot of issues with a late-game dungeon as well as a minor bug that's been slipping under the radar for far too long.
As always, the fixed version replaces the main download.
BUGFIXES:
- Frost Burn now ends faster while under the effect of Time Heals All.
- A Royal Pain: The mercs' combat engineers thought it would be funny to have the Enervator Squad just not stop showing up, ever. It wasn't really that funny, and after a great deal of complaints from the other mercenaries, he begrudgingly set them to stop deploying after they've been disabled.
- A Royal Pain: Brill can no longer phase through the chair in the War Room. Instead, she can talk about it; it's a very nice chair!
- A Royal Pain: Hurricane Wingbeat is now considered a Wind attack by effects like Reflect Element.
- Wielding the untold power of Starforce is not an exact science. Somehow, Star Burst (and the related Starforce Explosion) had 20% damage variance. Thanks to inexplicable adjustments to the very fabric of reality, they no longer have this.
BALANCE CHANGES:
- The Cool Cape now has +2 Attack to contrast the Warmlet's +2 Defense.

EDIT: So, Enemy 134 sticks to Thunder if I just keep blocking. Useful to know. Well, or Freezer Strike if I use the Leaf Greatshield instead of the Pure?

Well, here's my loadout to test that Attack Focus. Removing one doesn't change my Defense. It's also good to test that minor typo below. I can't see any percentage-based effects in regards to Defense, and I don't think they exist, either?

Minor:
Medal Points still say "Points" plural when only getting one.
Ah, I see the issue- I had a passive condition in Defense Focus checking for the wrong state and it was causing minor stat weirdness.I'll have a fix out later this afternoon.
Thanks! ... Doing a Reflect Ice heavy strat against Enemy 134. It seems that the Chill Counter actually goes beyond 10, because I'm using Punches to whittle down his last 21 HP, and the Chill Counter is still at 10 for 14 HP now?
Nice medal reward! Had just enough MP to wear it!
I've done a little testing. Still not sure what causes the Reflected Ice attacks' Chill count not to decrease, but I think it has something to do with how Reflected attacks work? I'll look into this more later.
Also fixed a bug that was making subsequent Bluffs cause a regular Block to happen. I'll have that out in today's patch as well.
Big issue. Can get in, can't get out. Good thing I saved beforehand:
Thanks! Trying to find the Charged Ice Stone in the Subterreanne, fighting the chase scene army to explore this hallway in detail, seeing if there's more loot. Trying to get out more Attack because Enchanted Books and Giga Vipers are tanky...
Was going to use the Haunted Aegis for that. it'd maybe be a bit more useful if it remembered which mode it's on between battles?
But, bigger issue in that against the Vipers, Catch Up doesn't seem to be making Brill faster, because they're exactly as fast as her. Ah well.
Used Mace Honey food instead.
Brill maybe should have a response to beating all the enemies instead of running for it?
EDIT: I think I've found where the Ice Charged Stone is! It's got a cutscene, but the fight has the enemies not move to get up in Brill's face? Different from most fights?
...
Inconsistency: Aeric Raiment says "+10 Def" instead of "Defense +10".
Catch Up does seem to be working as intended against Giga Vipers in my case- it'll be in effect as long as Brill's Action Meter is less full than any other enemy on screen.
Maybe I should have the Haunted Aegis start every battle in one mode or the other. I'll think about that while I get this fix out.
