0.3.5 P2 - Bugfix Patch 15

Good afternoon!

I shouldn't have tempted fate in the last patch notes, because yep, there were more bugs. Among other things, this patch keeps two Rings from crashing the game when equipped.

As usual, the fixed version replaces the main download.

BUGFIXES:

  • Clouds in a certain cave tunnel no longer break physics.
  • Rings are often seen as being symbolic of something neverending, so the Ring of Reprisal and Ring of Endurance thought that meant they should create an infinite loop and crash the game. This has been patched out.

TEXT FIXES:

  • The Stormight Shield's description now specifies that it chills enemies when they attack Brill while she's Blocking, rather than when she Blocks. Its Icon is also different now, so it doesn't get confused for the Chill status effect.

Where's that Glowing Aerialite Core loot? What kinda item is it? Nevermind, got more, so I figured it out.

Boss spoilers below:

Bugs below too.

Well, I could've skipped things by breaking physics?? Finished the Ruins, so I'm not skipping much?

Ruin Keeper right outside the exit to the Undead Army, why you just Warding? The Welkinblooms are gone! If you don't wanna fight, please surrender!

Hmm, beat the Tree Guarding one, do the Undead in the Graveyard not respawn? Otherwise Brill should change her words since she got past the "wall"?
...
Aww, Bee Shrug! Cute! ... Although I've opened it already!

Should I be able to walk under the Rainfall Retort bridge in the room?

...

Can use Holy Water to trigger the Altar, but wasted it on the Hollow Brass, since it's not a Shadow! Darn. Was hoping to deal with it quick. Ah well. Defense and Star Burst strats.
...
First attack on the other two enemies by Brill in that fight isn't blocked by the Brass, but all subsequent ones are?

...
Brill's not holding the bottles? They're floating?

...

If I Cryo Counter or Dodge or anything while Blocking, Brill stops holding up her shield, but still has Blocking status?

...

Beat the Wall Guardian 4 via a block-heavy strat to take nearly all damage to 0, and build up Starforce. If the Brass just went Electric all the time, I probably wouldn't have survived. EDIT: But I forgot about the Leaf Shields?

...

Not gonna figure out how to fight Chronah right now, but at least there's no bugs when I shield-stalled and Star Burst the bits to 0, then they worked with Chronah to do a reset. Not sure if it resets Thunder Punch and stuff, since that wasn't my strat.
...
Is Tempestasis Deflecting its user? Brill's not the one getting the Deflect X above their head.
...
Can walk forward here:

...
Old Bug I just remembered: Ulfar's Ghost Slimes seem to miss Brill if they attack in groups. One hits, and one misses.
...
Maybe the Napper in the Stall shouldn't face Brill when examined?
...
Brill's clipping into a Stool... And yeah! This is a story of healing everyone! woo!

...
Hmm, not sure that the Protect Cape is that much better than the Mythril Grandshield. 12 more damage reduction... Although, that dodge chance if you get it right?
...
Eh, the Disguise is nice, but why wouldn't I go back to the Alchemist and ask for explosives still?

EDIT: If you mean the wooden bridge, yes, that's meant to be walkable underneath.

EDIT 2: Hollow Brass is a Shadow-based creature, so the Holy Water should've done plenty to it. Did you have a defense-focused build on? It does get up to 26 defense after an Earth attack, and combined with that one's massive HP total, it'd be tough to take down.

EDIT 3: Tempestatis gives its user the Deflect Cooldown effect after use on purpose; it prevents his next attack from being Deflected.

Oh dear. I've got to release a bugfix for a lot of these.

The not-blocking-sprite visual bug's been in there since the beginning and I never did find a fix for it. I'll give it another look tonight. (EDIT 4: Wow, it was right there in the plugin I installed to give the Cryogem its animation. That was easy.)

WARNING: Minor Spoiler Territory below:

Explosives would get the rubble cleared out, but they wouldn't be ideal- they'd be loud and draw a lot of attention, so there'd probably be guards posted at the passage if it was opened.

Bugs it is ok... Hope they are not so critical

I've been chipping away at them since I returned to more active development. A lot of them snuck in during the development slump that I hit after I got my first job.

Most likely about to release another fix late tonight. Another reason I can't wait till I don't have to deal with my night shift! If I do, you can move your saves over by copying the www/save folder in your old install and pasting it in the new one.
