0.3.5 P2 - Bugfix Patch 12
Ruphand: An Apothecary's Adventure » Devlog
Good afternoon!
Another day of The Great Bugfixening. This one fixes a potential crash, among other things, so be sure to download it.
As always, the fixed version replaces the not-fixed version as the main download.
BUGFIXES:
- Magic Web now can actually be avoided by Evasion states, similar to Soften.
- The Master of Lanterns' Shield Scorch attack no longer causes the game to crash.
- Dill's Message should now be removed from your inventory after completing Altolato Altercation.
TEXT FIXES:
- An NPC in the Champion's Guild, after attending a few teaching seminars to help him drill the other soldiers, realized his explanation of the "Doesn't Stack" Medal modifier was a bit confusing. He explains "Doesn't Stack" much more clearly now.
- When Marissa gives the player an X-Tonic, the text box now correctly states that it heals 150 HP instead of 100.
- The Hat Recipes III book no longer mentions a Lunar Hat that was never implemented. There is no such thing as a Lunar Hat. Forget you ever saw the words "Lunar Hat".
- A few typos in dialogue and Quest Journal text have been fixed.

Did you intend to have two quests both called "A Long Way Up"?
Beat the Frozen Reach boss! Now fighting Ulfar! Ugh. Cursed Coronet was a bad choice. I can't punch him hard enough. But at least I can barely survive Sterneve-s by Blocking for my life, since I needed to wear some Heal Gear to recover while beating up the troops.
That's what was happening as I'm commenting. From where I was before:
My Adrenaline Punch Strat for the Big Boss, probably would've been able to fit more Attack in if I made an Omega Wreath beforehand, instead of just using the Revolutionary Helm. Ha!
Hmm. I guess I gotta buy Mystic Flowers for that. And with only 375 Sil after the Big Boss, that's not happening. Gonna go use that plot item I just got, maybe get some even better gear. Well, even though I didn't make it to the next town, I have ~1800 Sil and another Medal Point. Ulfar try again:
Typo, when showing the Snow Gem to get the plot item:
"you have a Snow Gem-" > "you have a Snow Gem -"
Whoops. I accidentally named two quests the same thing. I'll correct that with the next patch, along with the typo.
Cool!
In other things, if the Sterneve Fragment is big enough to be a shield, maybe call it something else. Maybe "Shard"? ... Or "Section", for alliteration? "Fragment" sounds really tiny?
...
When doing the "A Long Way Up" sidequest again, Brill does the cutscenes for the end of the climbing sections, even though I've already seen them, I think? I just took a dive because of the crash?
I actually discovered that recently in testing- looks like I forgot some self switch commands. That'll be fixed next patch as well.
I kinda like the sound of "Stjerneve Scrap".
Me too!
"A Long Way Up" sidequest boss... Should they be using their "Remove Block" attack when I'm not blocking? It's good for when I don't want to lose, but I'm trying to lose so I can get better gear from following the plot.
That appears to be working as intended, but I could probably improve the AI a bit and make this boss tougher. I think I'll make some minor adjustments to when the move is used.
