0.3.5 P2 - Bugfix Patch 11

Good afternoon!

Yep, another bugfix patch. Fortunately, these patches have covered a vast majority of the existing content in the game- everything else, I've walked through recently.

As always, the fixed version replaces the not-fixed version.

BUGFIXES:
  • The Overload Amulet had several mirrored lenses inside it, and they were all broken, creating a background bad luck field that was making the Lucky Lass medal not work. This has been fixed.
  • One of the Flying Leeches fought before Magnes should no longer be hiding behind the target selection window.
  • Magnes's AI has been adjusted, so he should now actually use Negative Storm. Bring your Resistances and your Power Busters, because that move can really hurt.

TEXT FIXES:

  • The descriptions for Stone's Throw and Lucky Lass have been adjusted.
  • The Credits text has been adjusted.

EDIT: Yep, the "Don't Stack" explanation guard could be clearer:

"only one of them can work at a time. Recycling and Catch Up are two medals that don't stack", sounds like only one of them can work at a time, but that's incorrect?

Downloading...

And it's a rare typo and bug report that mentions companions but avoids spoilers, so you future people, be warned, spoilers be below!

Maybe I should've stuck around instead of taking the golem high-speed transport, so I could see if Rho got something new for Brill. Ah well.

Oh, Brill can't Sample on the World Map where it's paved Castle Town border? Huh. Never noticed that before!

The X-Tonic given in the castle says it heals 100, but should actually heal 150?

"The King's Request" Journal entry says "Evrandedl"... Uh, that's that's not the right spelling, quite sure?

Can't enter the open passageways in the Castle's Dining Hall?

Uh, the ranting cook that makes Brill back away repeatedly. Should he be facing her for this "conversation"?

Aunt Marissa? I guess she's Genn's wife! Probably could've figured that out from what the Raft-giver said.

BUG: Marissa dodged Magic Webs but still has the visual effect.

EDIT: Both conversation partners in the Ninja Inn have the same dialogue?

I'm going to check in a bit, but the ones in the Inn seem like they've got different dialogue?

Shouldn't be too hard to patch out the text issues- I'll have them next patch, as usual. In particular, the Stacking Medals explanation is going to be a lot clearer.

The very enthusiastic chef is focused on his work, so he doesn't turn around.

Ah, Magic Web is probably running on the same logic as Soften. Well, I can patch that out easily.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the open passages are fireplaces. I'll move the whole map down to make room so they're fully visible.

Huh, checked that Inn myself just now. Not what I remember. Maybe it changed when I updated?

EDIT: What is Garett's "Stat Reference" attack? Oh, I get it. Nevermind. But only he has this? No other companion? Or I just missed it?

"haunted by blades"! woo! Now I get to see that teaser image in-game! Counter Water Blades... Hmm. Elemental resistances are easier to come by, compared to pure damage reduction for Neutral.

...

Typo when Brill asks Fremani about Garett:

"I kinda know where we went" > "I kinda know where he went"

...

"Flying Swords and Corrupted Hammers" under the ash. Plural, yet I fight only one of each, thankfully!

Stat Reference is only on Garett, though admittedly that's because I was rushing to finish updates due to being super busy and taking too long on them. (Which, of course, led to a few issues...) I bet I could put together a Stat Reference for every temporary ally, though.

Going to be busy the rest of the night, but I'll get to work on that tomorrow, along with the typo issues. That seems like it'd be a good idea.

I just got back, gave your save a look. I had a feeling it'd be that big puzzle room- it gave me trouble and I made the thing. (That's the reason I made the alternative brute-force route- though there's a reward for clearing the puzzle that I think you'll like.)

Good news is, you aren't stuck. In fact, you're just a few switches from completing the puzzle. I can message you with the solution from where you're at if you want!
