Version 1.0.1 Patch IV: A New UI
Edit as of 9:30 AM on 7/26: A minor bugfix has been applied to the current version of the game.
EDIT AS OF 2:52 AM ON 7/26: A critical bug has been patched that caused a crash whenever a battle ended. Please redownload the game if you downloaded it after the patch around mid-afternoon on 7/25.
Good afternoon!
While I couldn't manage the ideal fix for an HP bar issue that was brought to my attention, I did at least make an improvement, as well as improving the UI quite a bit! Now you can actually remove a character that's been placed- and there's a good indicator that you HAVE placed said character.
As always, you can just move the save file over to the patched version, which has replaced the main download.
QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS:
- When placing characters, you can now cancel placement without resetting everyone's placement.
- Selecting a placed character "un-places" them, freeing up the slot and letting you place them somewhere else.
- The Placement Selector window now colors in each character's name differently depending on their class, graying it out once they're placed.
BALANCE CHANGES:
- Items now have a much less prohibitive cost.
- A certain powerful enemy can rarely be found in the latter half of the third area. (Eloise's dialogue will now mention this.)
BUGFIXES:
- HP Bars should now appear directly above the top of each unit's sprite, preventing them from getting stuck behind their own sprite.
- A map in the third area is no longer somehow populated solely by enemies from the final area.
- Second Round: A crash relating to the new UI still running checks at extremely inopportune moments has been implemented.
- Third Round: Healer's Friend should now properly apply its 200% healing bonus.

Price Adjustment is Good! Still haven't used one myself, but they do make them a lot more viable!
The only flaws I haven't lucked into removing are Nervous Wreck and Despondent. Do I have to use items on their bearers to get rid of any of those?
I've also seen the Devil Knights. They tanky! Woo! HP Numbers!
Man, I wish I had spoiler tags on this site, or I'd have responded earlier. To get rid of the listed Flaws:
Nervous Wreck: Use 10 Vis on the unit.
Despondent: Give
1020 stat buffs or other beneficial effects to the unit. (Doesn't count self-only buffs like the Hunter's Take Aim and the Skirmisher's Work Up, and doesn't count pure healing effects, but does count mixed healing/buff effects like the Hunter's Healing Herb and the Cleric's Inoculate.)Thanks! Ooh, potions apply in a cross shape! Nice!
Uh...
Bug in a training skirmish.
Question about those Spoilers...
So I just now got the chance to check, and fortunately that was an easy fix. I really just needed one more line, phew.
I'll have a fix out in just a bit.
Got it, and turned Nervous Wreck into Assured too!
Does the "Healer's Friend" Trait not apply to Healing Herb? Or does it not work at all?
Despondent spoilers
Does Herb self-application not work? Or do I have to wait for the Herb to wear off before applying it again to count as a second application?
Also my 20 MATK Hunter with Healer's Friend was self-applying and only getting 20, not 40 Heal out of it. Also not sure if HF applies to Vis Bottles too, etc. Only got 25 MP each from those.
Healer's Friend (and recovery effects) unfortunately do not apply to Regen or Vis. That said, the initial heal should still be boosted; I'll look into this.
EDIT: Found out the issue. Another easy fix- a loop was stopping one ID early. I'll have a third patch out soon!
Anyway, spoilers:
I actually got the number wrong on Despondent. It was 20 buffs, not 10. Sorry- it was a pretty hectic day yesterday.
